Philodendron Narrow Escape is a relatively new hybrid which was created in 2013 at the University of Florida by a plant breeder Brian Williams. Philodendron bipinnatifidum and Philodendron selloum species were chosen as parents for future hybrid.
philodendron bipinnatifidum | philodendron selloum |
Philodendron Narrow Escape inherited the best traits of both parents. It's a compact plant which typically grows up to 60 - 80 cm in height. Its narrow and elongated leaves have a vibrant green color and glossy texture. Deep triangular lobes and their wavy shape remind us a sharp tooth of a tiger. That's why this beautiful and unique hybrid got its second name - Philodendron Tiger Tooth.
